when creating my music magazine cover i framed the image of my model with titles and headlines aswell as background stripes. my model positioned himself very efficiently and exectly how i asked. i took my image in cloudy weather to make the image appear as if he had some major problems in his life. i had no problems with the backdrop because i cropped the model out of it.
i used very small margin guides so i can input alot more exciting headlines. i used several fonts from http://www.dafont.com/ like VKS Revolt and hourseshoes and lemonade. this made my titles and headlines appeal to my target audience more because of the attractive shapes and styles. i used the gradient tool to apply stripes from on corner to the middle aswell as auto shapes to create a skyline to advertise a free poster within my magazine. my colours consisted of blues blacks and silvers to create a cool, gothic/skater approach to the magazine. my text allignment frames model and enhances the main sell lines.
my magazine cover has language that makes the TA feel linked to the article like alice cooper on drugs. a popular artist doing this people of my TA age know about. my imagery indicates the mental state of alice cooper as he is pulling a face of craziness. i used natural lighting in my shot of my model, i used a backdrop of a wall outside of the studio, i used a basic but effective pose for my model,
i would like to perfect the cropping pen tool to get more precise and appealing cuts of images. i had no technical problems when creating my magazine cover.
